For the past few decades, the advancement in technology sector has kept up a fast pace. The rapid boost exhibited by the number of sophisticated systems and devices have resulted in a plethora of changes which have transformed our lives in plenty of ways. If our ancestors happen to visit this 21st century, they would be spell bounded by the miraculous wonderland. Who would have thought that 9 out of 10 teenagers would be carrying cell phones Who would have thought that your shopping order is placed just as easily as the click of a mouse Who would have thought that payment of utility bills is possible with a single press of cell phones keypad Which worker would have thought of losing his job after being replaced by machines Which heart patient would have expected a new life after artificial heart implantation Which mind would have entertained the thought of wisely consuming the oil and gas with the fear of energy crisis These are some of the questions which arise in the minds of many, but what refrains them from delving out its whereabouts is the joy of easiness provided by the diverse gallery of science and technology.

Necessity, being the mother of invention, incites the brightest techies and researchers around the globe to analyze the existing systems and inventions, so as to formulate new and improved ways of conducting businesses, monitoring and controlling of processes, clientuser benefits, speeding up computation, optimization of resource, environmental issues, security hazardsin short, bringing about a revolution in our lives with a flick of magic wand called science (Technology Review 2003).

Upon counting the blessings of science, the fundamental and foremost category that tops the list is of computing and entertainment gadgets. With the advent of Semi Conductor industry, the miniaturization trend has received tremendous break through. Devices which once occupied a large room, now fits on ones palm The Integrated Circuit technology accommodates a million transistors on a single chip, resulting in extremely fast computation rate, hence carrying the standard of this high-tech age. From laptops to iPods, Camcorder to Memory cards, Cardiac pacemakers to Blackberries, toys to tanks, microwave ovens to RADAR systemsit becomes impossible to sum up the benefits of IC technology ( Usborne, 2003).

Designing and analysis of nuclear and control units is a no-big-deal via software modeling and simulation tools. Every computer user heavily loads the machine with the infotainment stuff, thereby replacing T.V., play stations, newspapers, MP3cassetteCD player, books, telephone etc. The internet is undoubtedly credited for interplaying among smartest offered solutions. Today, the job of saving the human lives is not solely dependent upon doctors, but also on the extent of progress in bio medical engineering. The implantation of artificial organs, nano technology and advanced surgical tools has sparked a new ray for the suffered ones.

The increasing amount of energy consumers throughout the world is due to the web of facilities and luxuries which we have woven around us. And with exponentially increase in the consumers, the existing resources are feared to fall short, hence energy crisis. New methods and techniques for energy production have been implemented including solar cells, wind power, geothermal and nuclear energy (Ziman 2000). Energy crisis is one of the most devastating outcomes of immense and blind dependence on science.

Another negative impact-leaving invention is Nuclear weapon which is regarded as power status for any nation. The global changes occurred after its formation is destructive, not only for a single state but also for the world communities at large.

The inventionsdiscoveries that emerged out as a result of rising needs have their deep impacts and outcomes globally. The fabricated technology is not inherently good or bad, but the impact it creates, neither leaves it neutral (Seidensticker 2006). The thing which matters is the way it effects the surrounding. The inventions are here for our facility, it is up to us to use it wisely and optimally so as to harvest the sweet fruits in the near future. If we want to progress in the prosperous direction, then it is desired that proper utilization of technology be made, rather abusing it (Frank, 2007).
